Manganese Parkerizing Kit provides a slightly thicker, medium to dark gray or black finish that is great for a final finish. More porous than other phosphates for superior retention of lubricants or rust-preventives. Meets MIL-STD 171 for small arms finishing. Zinc Parkerizing Kit produces a light to medium gray finish with a fine grain surface that is a superb undercoat for spray-on/bake-on coatings. It leaves minimal sludge build-up in the tank and is economical because it uses less solution than the manganese process. Some people also find it more cosmetically appealing.
A very user-friendly process that produces a non-metallic zinc phosphate coating on iron and steel that is highly resistant to corrosion, very durable and long wearing. The traditional, charcoal-gray color is ideal for non-glare finishes on tactical and hunting guns, or restoring older military guns. The large, uniform grain structure and even thickness coating gives excellent retention for lubricants and rust preventives. Also provides an ideal base for spray-on/bake on finishes such as Brownells Baking Lacquer, Aluma-Hyde II and Teflon Moly Gun Finish. The porous surface produced by Zinc Phosphate Parkerizing actually bonds the final finish to the gun for a durable, long wearing coating. A very clean process, Zinc Phosphate leaves almost no sludge buildup around the heating coils in your tank. If you are already setup for parkerizing, switching to Zinc Phosphate is a simple matter of changing chemicals in your tank.
Produces a dark black color that retains the crystal sparkle common to zinc parkerized finishes. Replaces the hot water rinse as part of the normal zinc parkerizing process. Requires no heating or expensive tank setup, just dip parts in Pre-Dip 15 seconds before placing them into the parkerizing bath. Easy-to-mix and use, concentrated solution saves you money; can be stored and reused. Mix with Hydrochloric Acid and water.
